John Mood, Columbia: (CVSC Board Development Co-Chair) A manager in the produce industry and active in politics, John is a member of SC GreenGov and Say No To The 250 Foot High Landfill Beside Waccamaw River.
Dana Beach, Charleston: Founder and Executive Director of the Coastal Conservation League, Dana serves on numerous Boards, including the Council on Coastal Futures, the Governor's Water Law Committee and Smart Growth America.
Emma Ruth Brittain, Myrtle Beach: Emma Ruth is a native of Darlington and now practices law with The Thompson & Henry Firm. She has extensive board experience including having served as President of the Horry County Bar Association.
Wilkins Byrd, Aiken: Wilkins is a lawyer in Aiken, SC. He also serves as Chairman of the Aiken Planning Commission and is on the Board of Directors of the Aiken Land Conservancy.
Elliott Close, Rock Hill: Board member of the Conservation Land Bank, Harry Hampton Wildlife Fund and the Springs Company, Ell was the Democratic Party nominee for U.S. Senate in 1996.
Carol Ervin, Charleston: Carol heads the Employment Law Practice Group at Young Clement Rivers, and is past president of the Charleston County Bar Association.
Frank Holleman, Greenville: Senior Attorney with Southern Environmental Law Center, Frank graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law School.
Blan Holman, Charleston: Blan is the lead litigator for the Southern Environmental Law Center in South Carolina. He graduated from the University of North Carolina, Phi Beta Kappa and received his Law Degree from the University of Virginia School of Law.
Marlon E. Kimpson, Charleston: An Attorney at Motley Rice, Marlon has played an integral role in developing many of the firm's practice areas. In 2005, Marlon's legal work and volunteer service earned him a place on the Charleston Regional Business Journal's Forty Under 40 list.
D. Delores Logan, Columbia: Founder and CEO of Allcaregivers, Inc. of Lexington, Delores also serves on the board of the Lexington County Chamber of Commerce and Palmetto Aids Life Support Services (PALSS).
Charles Patrick, Charleston: Founding Partner of Richardson, Patrick, Westbrook & Brickman, Charles also serves on the Trident United Way and Charleston Ballet Boards.
Chris Pracht, Anderson: Chris is the owner of Chris Pracht Auctioneers.
Alan Runyan, Beaufort: As a partner in Speights & Runyan, Alan has lectured and represented clients on construction and environmental issues, including asbestos property damage, groundwater and lead paint contamination, and issues with wastewater treatment facilities.
Gail Richardson, Barnwell: Gail, tied to coastal conservation through Edisto Island, is a supporter of the Edisto Open Land Trust, the Botany Bay Loggerhead Project and the Nature Conservancy in South Carolina.
Harry Shealy, Ph.D, Aiken: President of the Aiken County Open Land Trust and Vice-Chair of the Hitchcock Foundation, Harry is a professor of Biology at University of South Carolina Aiken.
Cody Smith, Columbia: An attorney with Pennington Law Firm, LCC., Cody's primary focus is the representation of wireless communications carriers and related industries. Cody also focuses on environmental compliance and permitting issues. Over the years he has assisted many clients in navigating complex environmental matters.
Mary Finlay Thompson, Ph.D, Columbia: Formerly on the national Boards of the Nature Conservancy Garden Club of America, Rab is retired from Benedict College where she was Professor of Biology. An avid horsewoman, Rab also has a home in Virginia.
Childs Cantey Thrasher, Columbia: An Associate Attorney at Gallivan, White & Boyd, P.A., Childs serves on the Environmental and Natural Resources Section of the South Carolina Bar, and is a Steering Committee Member for South Carolina Water Matters.

Ann Timberlake, Executive Director: Ann formerly owned the Purple Cow Grocery, worked in retail sales and marketing, and helped organize the Sierra Club of the Carolinas in the 1970s. Email Ann.
Susan Sale,
Development Director – Suzi has 25 years public affairs and corporate development experience helping public and private enterprises grow and build financial capacity. Her conservation activism began in opposition to the nuclear waste landfill in Barnwell, SC. She has been active in and served on the boards of conservation and historic preservation organizations in Georgia, Connecticut and South Carolina.
Debbie Parker, Program Director: Debbie serves on the Board of the State Environmental Leadership Program and the Congaree Riverkeeper. She graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Public Relations. Email Debbie.
Lara Winburn, Business & Communications Director: Lara grew up in Greer and received her bachelor's degree from Clemson University. She is owner of In The Loop knitting store in Columbia. Email Lara.
Ed Falco, Program Manager: Before coming to CVSC, Ed worked at the SC State Department of Education as an Education Associate. Prior to that Ed served as the Community Relations and Environmental Specialist for Utility Industury. He also has a background in television. Ed was was a host for a children's television program on Fox.
Jenni Asman, Program Coordinator: Jenni is a recent graduate of Furman University, who majored in psychology and was heavily involved in the sustainability movement. As an undergraduate, Jenni alongside three professors, published a paper on sustainable behaviors in Sustainability: Journal of Record and presented at many conferences across the United States. She also served on the board of directors for the local non-profit, Greenville Forward, as part of Furman's Shucker Leadership program where she also co-founded a peer-to-peer conservation education group, Conserve Furman.
