The Conservation Vote Tracker records the votes of the South Carolina House and Senate on significant bills impacting our environment. Bills in the Vote Tracker may, but not necessarily will, be included in the biannual Scorecard.  Voting is a key responsibility of legislators and bills in the Vote Tracker include those that the Conservation Voters of South Carolina have taken a position on, including those found in the weekly Hot List

Note about Senate Vote Tracker:
While the venerable rules of the Senate promote consensus building and contemplative action, they also thwart direct accountability. It is rare that the Senate takes a substantive, recorded vote on conservation issues. As a result, there are very few Senate Votes listed in the 2009-2010 Senate Vote Tracker.
