Cynthia Powell, Myrtle Beach, President: Cynthia is an entrepreneur and Chair of the Winyah Chapter of the South Carolina Sierra Club.
Christie McGregor, Columbia, Treasurer: Christie is the Legislative Director for The Nature Conservancy where she educates both elected officials and the general public about conservation issues.
Dennis Glaves, Beaufort: Dennis Glaves is active in a number of local volunteer organizations including; Friends of Hunting Island, the Migrant Health Outreach Program and Second Helpings Food Distribution.
Ryan Nevius, Columbia: Ryan is currently the Executive Director of Sustainable Midlands.
Brad Wyche, Greenville: Brad serves as Executive Director for Upstate Forever. Prior to founding Upstate Forever, Brad worked as an attorney in Greenville. While working as an attorney, he concentrated in the environment field and was recognized as one of "The Best Lawyers in America."
Ricardo A. Hamdan, Columbia: Ricardo Hamdan currently serves as the International Marketing and Business Development Director at Environmental Fabrics Inc. He has been crucial to the development of Animal Waste Biogas Projects in Mexico and Latin America. Ricardo is EFI's Carbon Expert and has Developed over 30 CDM projects in swine and dairy farms in Mexico.
Staff
Ann Timberlake, Executive Director: Ann formerly owned the Purple Cow Grocery, worked in retail sales and marketing, and helped organize the Sierra Club in the Carolinas in the 1970s.
Debbie Parker, Program Director: Debbie serves on the Board of the State Environmental Leadership Program and the Congaree Riverkeeper. She graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Public Relations.
Susan Sale, Development Director: Suzi has extensive experience in corporate development, marketing and public relations. A native of Columbia, she graduated Newberry College and USC, and is a longtime social and historic preservation activist.
Lara Winburn, Business and Communications Director: Lara grew up in Greer and received her bachelor's degree from Clemson University. She is owner of In The Loop knitting store in Columbia.
Ed Falco, Program Manager: Before coming to CVSC, Ed worked at the SC State Department of Education as an Education Associate. Prior to that Ed served as the Community Relations and Environmental Specialist for Utility Industury. He also has a background in television, Ed was was a host for a children's television program on Fox.
Jenni Asman, Program Coordinator: Jenni is a recent graduate of Furman University, who majored in psychology and was heavily involved in the sustainability movement. As an undergraduate, Jenni alongside three professors, published a paper on sustainable behaviors in Sustainability: Journal of Record and presented at many conferences across the United States. She also served on the board of directors for the local non-profit, Greenville Forward, as part of Furman's Shucker Leadership program where she also co-founded a peer-to-peer conservation education group, Conserve Furman.
